What does this mean for us patent attorneys?
The necessity for human oversight isn’t limited to examiners. As patent attorneys, we face the exact same challenge. It’s easy to let AI generate text, but that’s a trap. To stay relevant and valuable, we must reclaim our professional agency.
We need to use AI to automate the what (the drafting) so we can focus on the why (the strategy and purposive intention).
